They even offered free parking in their lot that was protected it’s very touristy and there are some scammers in the area but they were professional and friendly. Our tour was with Luis, we are Americans and he spoke great English and also communicated very well. His brother was also a tour guide and they would help point out things they saw to eachother to maximize the tour, it’s like you have multiple tour guides in one. Luis was showing us things as soon as we stepped foot into the park. He got great angles on the scope for us to view and you could tell he was thinking out his next steps rather than just go through the motions. Taking us to one area then back to another if it was crowded. Answered all our questions and took pictures for us. Taking picture through the spotting scope came out fantastic so no need for a bulky camera! Luis is a pro and took the photos on my phone quickly and easily. Just let him do it he’s a pro, no sense in wasting your time with trying to get the camera to focus. (I know some people are wired about it). I would highly recommend a private tour if you can swing it. I’m the person who hates tours and groups. Some of the groups can get larger around the park. Going in without a guide is really a waste of time imo. Sure you’ll see a large group and see a sloth but you’ll also miss so much. It seems like many people were solo and trying to figure out what we were doing. It’s money well spent and you’ll probably only be there once in your life, just do it.

Luis had shown us his collection of photos and even shared it with us after the tour. Sure they weren’t all our photos but some days you don’t get to see all the animals or have a great angle on it. I would not hesitate to recommend them for the park

Our tour was with another family from Spain and Luis essentially gave the tour twice, once in Spanish and again in English. He slipped from one language to the other fluidly. The tour ended at a paradise-like beach, where we parted ways, but not before clear directions to more trails we could explore on our own and the route back to the exit. The value of this tour far exceeded its price and we highly recommend it!
